2022 Saturn Ödülleri adayları belli oldu. 50 yıldır devam eden organizasyon, fantastik, bilimkurgu, korku/gerilim ve aksiyon dallarındaki yapımları onurlandırıyor.
Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films tarafından 1972 yılından bu yana her sene dağıtılan ödüller film ve televizyon kategorisinde birçok alt başlığa sahip. Bu yılki kazananlar, ElectricNOW’da canlı yayınlanacak bir etkinlikte 25 Ekim 2022 tarihinde açıklanacak.
Bu yılki adaylıklarda dikkat çeken isimleri başında The Batman geliyordu. Matt Reeves’in film, En İyi Süper Kahraman Filmi dahil olmak üzere Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano ve Colin Farrell için oyunculuk adaylıkları da bulunan yapım, toplam 12 dalda ödüllere en çok aday gösterilen film oldu. Guillermo del Toro’nun Nightmare Alley’yi ise En İyi Gerilim Filmi, En İyi Yönetmen ve Senaryo dahil olmak üzere 10 dalda adaylıkla hemen arkasından geldi.
Marvel Sinematik Evreni filmleri Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Thor: Love and Thunder, Sony ile ortaklaşa hazırlanan Spider-Man: No Way Home ile Disney Plus yapımları Loki, WandaVision, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, What If…? ve Ms. Marvel bu yılki adaylıkları domine etti.
Lucasfilm ve Disney’in Star Wars dizileri The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi ve Star Wars: The Bad Batch de toplamda 10 adaylıkla büyük bir başarı elde etti.
Adaylar arasında A24’ün en çok izlenen bağımsız filmi Everything Everywhere All at Once ve Jordan Peele’nin her biri yedi kez bahseden gerilim filmi Nope da yer alıyor.
Better Call Saul dizisi yedi adaylıkla ismini öne çıkarırken onu The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Severance ve Superman & Lois de altı adaylıkla adlarından söz ettirmeyi başardılar.
